Striker cut-in: welded into the jamb, then ground smooth and primed.
Welding modifications and repairs on all types of metal door frames
Hinges, strikers and frames fixed properly on site. Welded, ground and primed ready for paint, so the door works and the frame looks right.
What we do
Commercial and residential steel door frame work, done as a subcontractor on live building sites.
The old hinge position is welded up, filled, ground, sanded and primed. The new hinge is cut in, welded and finished to the same standard.
Striker positions cut and welded into steel frames, including bricked-in frames that need a deadlock striker.
Frames modified to take electric strikers for security and access control installs, including high-security 3mm frames.
Hinges and strike swapped to change a door's handing or reverse its swing when a frame went in the wrong way.
Mullion legs supplied and installed on double-door frames.
Frame legs extended where they finish short of the floor, and rusted frame bases cut out and spliced.
Damaged or unsuitable steel door frames removed and replaced, including galvanised frames.
Frame headers removed and dropped down to suit the door.
Steel plates and post plates supplied and welded on site.
Materials and parts for frame repairs are included. Painting and final finishing are left to your painter.
